Here at Memoires, we always like to showcase those athletes who are pushing their sports to new heights.

More often than not, these athletes are larger than life and so are their personalities, basically personifying the “radness” that they are known for.

Not in climbing, or not anymore at least.

Enter Alex Honnold, a mid twenties admittedly awkward and introverted climber.   He also just so happens to be the best in the world.

Alex first gained fame for his free solo ascent up the iconic “Moonlight Buttress,” but recently has moved onto bigger things.  On June 6th, Alex completed the first “Triple Crown” in Yosemite, all without ropes.  The Triple Crown includes El Capitan, Half Dome and Mt. Watkins. Oh Yea, and he did it all in less than 24 hours…yea, all of em.

If you don’t know Alex Honnold yet, its time you met, enjoy the video below.
